The Urban Agriculture Directors Alliance is a game-changing initiative designed to embed urban agriculture into the fabric of urban planning and development. Launched as an informal, unfunded network, UADA currently represents 40+ member-cities and continues to grow.

UADA is a fiscally-sponsored project ofthe Urban Sustainability Directors Network.

Our Vision

We envision a future in which urban agriculture is an integrated, resilient pillar of every municipality's environmental, economic, and public health systems, and in which the communities most affected by inequitable food systems shape how those systems can do better.

Our Mission

Since 2020, UADA has convened practitioners for peer-learning and collective problem-solving, so that one jurisdiction's success can be a roadmap for another.

Across these efforts, UADA works to advance urban agriculture policy through local government-led coordination, while delivering measurable local impacts on food access, health, climate adaptation, and workforce development.

Advisory Committee

UADA's Advisory Committee brings together experienced leaders who guide our direction, share what they've learned in the field, and help keep our work grounded in what local governments and communities actually need.
